
The Nordic Digital Culture Network is a Nordplus Higher Education network linking academic programs focused on digital culture in the Nordic Countries, dedicated to providing cross-institutional international exchange opportunities to students.
The IT University of Copenhagen is a globally-oriented independent Danish university which has approx. 1,500 students and 100 researchers. It's located in Ørestad, right next to Copenhagen University and Danish state television. The IT University is unique in its dedication to IT and the digital world and in operating with a very broad definition of IT. The area of IT today touches a large part of our lives; how we do business, how we communicate and understand each other, how we retrieve and share knowledge, etc. In that way IT is much more than the actual computer and 1s and 0s. That makes it a breakthrough as significant to mankind as the invention of written language thousands of years ago. This broad approach to the digital world is the foundation of the IT University.
Bachelor in Digital Media & Design. (DMD) Blogs, chat, SMS, streaming, podcasting, instant messaging and other forms of digital communication has changed the workplace, our everyday and how we interact socially. In this programme you will learn, how the development of digital media impacts our daily life, and you will work with mobile media, web 2.0 technologies, social networks, project management, strategies and much more. With a Bachelor in digital media & design you will know, how to utilize media and technology to design and communicate professionally, and why it works.
Digital Design & Communication. (DDK) The rapid changes in digital media is constantly changing ways in how we communicate. With a 2-year degree in digital media & design, you will acquire the skills to work with communication and design in the beautiful digital world.
MSc in IT: Media Technology and Games. This programme (MTG) provides a core education for those wanting to do research on computer games, design them, or build them. The programme offers two branches: Design and Analysis or Technology. Students choose one branch, but collaborate across the two areas. The Games programme is a two-year, international, English taught programme.

Arriving in a new country and meeting cultural contrast is an exciting, and somewhat confusing experience. To make life easier, ITU has plenty of information directed at you as a prospective student from abroad. Here you will find information about Denmark, student life and practical things like accommodation, currency and transport services. Out of the 1500 students at ITU, 32% are international which makes it a multi-cultural environment. Due to faculty rotation the teaching language will vary between english and danish, while some courses will be given in english if there are non-danish speaking students enrolled. Prospective students are therefore urged to view the course list for further information on specific courses.
